1. Impressions:

What is it? Impressions refers to the number of times your post has been on a Social Media Feed. It doesn’t differentiate between unique accounts, but only adds up to total views. So one account could see the same post in their feed four times, which equals to four impressions.

Why it is important: Impression gives the marketer an idea of how much exposure your content is getting. If the impressions are high, it means your content has been reached widely. Which leads to better brand recognition and eventually helps to get more followers and higher engagement.

What it is: Shares refers to the action of reposting or sharing content from another user’s social media profile onto one’s own profile. When users share content, they make it visible to their network of followers or connections.

There are 3 types of share. They can share your post as it as, or they add their thoughts to it and share, or they can DM to someone.

Why it is important: The higher the share, the more significant increase in Social Visibility and Attract more users. Even many Social media companies say that sharing helps their algorithm to recommend the post to more people organically. Let me give you a fictional example, like, 1 share is equally to 10 Likes.

How to track it: You can track the share at the share icons of the post. Twitter (X)and LinkedIn. shows are repost/quote repost.

Conversion

Conversions measures help to understand how effectively your content drives desired actions.

5. Click-Through Rate (CTR)

How to track it: Click-through rate will be calculated by dividing the number of clicks your post received by the number of impressions it got.
